it's funny how many deadlines you make for yourself in the course of a few months: after this happens, then i'll have free time. now this. now this. now this. it's beginning to be pretty clear that free time is something that you either have to create yourself, or to take advantage of every little moment of it that you can get.


working in a lab is both interesting and rewarding. sure, the western blots didn't work, over and over and over again. four days of work go down the drain with each go; but what does that mean? try something new. learn something new. just keep going, and going, until eventually you find something that works. and sometimes, when it works you learn far more than you ever expected to. exciting! only a month left in the lab and i intend to take advantage of it. not to mention to cover the lab benches in as many doodles as i possibly can...


sometimes there is nothing more that you can do in life than to make a cup of tea and sit and realize, there's nothing more you can do. what is past is past and gone. it's at once freeing and difficult to accept.


a whole summer has almost passed and i haven't managed to cover myself in paint yet. that's really not acceptable, and will have to change. i've been lazy. this is the longest stretch of drawer's block that i have experienced in quite a while. i do have a few things to scan in!
